THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The flag of the United States is a symbol of freedom before which Americans recite the pledge of allegiance. The flag's 13 red and white stripes represent the 13 original colonies. Its 50 white stars on a blue background represent the 50 states.


Each of the colors on the flag has a meaning:

  • Red: valor and bravery
  • White: purity and innocence
  • Blue: vigilance, perseverance, and justice
  • A star is added to the flag when a new state joins the United States.


The flag was last modified on July 4, 1960, when Hawaii was incorporated as a state.

Mentorship & Relationship with our Schools

Our law firm prides itself on being one dedicated to community development premised on justice and equality of opportunity for all. That focus is decades in the making. As early as 1994 our managing attorney Gabriel J. Christian was recognized for meritorious service by the Prince George's County Maryland School Board for his mentorship of middle and high school students in the Doctor/Lawyer Program. That program focused on medical doctors and attorneys instructing students in the medical and legal pitfalls involved in the use and abuse of illegal/street drugs. In the past, we have been pro bono counsel to the Prince George's County Literacy Foundation, while providing support to the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (www.umes.edu).


In 2012, we were proud to honor the outstanding student leaders of the Duval High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). Under their Aeronautical Science Instructor Patricia St. HIill, they exhibited the best values of disciplined youth leadership. 


Today our law office continues on that mission of mentorship of our future leaders by supporting the STEM education programs of the East Coast Chapter Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. (www.ecctai.org ) and the Piney Woods School (https://www.pineywoods.org/).
